The Annual General Meeting of The Dry Stone Wall Association of Ireland will take place on Saturday 20th of November 2021 via ZOOM Teleconferencing.

Time will be fixed in the coming weeks once guest speakers are confirmed

Please come along and join us for our AGM.

This year we will have a number of talks and short videos to share with you on topics such as biodiversity and interlocking structures. Guest speakers to be confirmed. If you would like to give a short presentation, we would love to hear from you too! Something short, 15 minutes or so.

Last call for new appointments to the Board of Directors: The DSWAI is seeking to expand membership of its Board of Directors. The deadline for applications is midnight, Friday 12th November, 2021.

The board of directors of the DSWAI is responsible for the development of the organisation and the creation of its vision and mission. As a director you play a key role in creating the strategic direction of the organisation, representing the profession on a national and international level and developing and supporting the development of best practice of drystone walling.

Please note this role is not remunerated.

The DSWAI is particularly interested in applications from those working in the drystone community as well as professionals with experience in fundraising, administration, public relations, accounting and strategic planning. Applicants must demonstrate knowledge of the sector and be able to work independently and remotely. To be eligible as a candidate applicants must be a member of DSWAI in good standing. Candidates must be supported by 2 members in good standing.

The appointment of new directors will take place at the AGM when successful applicants will be presented for membership vote. All Candidates will be informed of the results within ten days of the AGM.
